READ THESE SPECIAL NOTES BEFORE PURCHASE
1. Neon Signs will Deploy as Non Animated signs by Default as of Version 1.0.12. They will look just like Neon Signs in the image below.
2. Neon Sign Animation is bugged. Rust now unloads Item Skins when not in use. So when rotating between Skins, the signs will Show the Default Rug Skin (sucks for sure) in between each Skin. The only fix as of now is that all Players will have to manually type in F1 console graphics.itemskinunload "false" to see the Animation as intended.
3. Clothing animated skins work ok, but still a BETA WIP Feature
4. Admin wings work, but do go invisible due to culling when flying too far. Still BETA WIP Feature.

** Kick Ass custom skins will require users to make there own workshop skins for the Rug to get skin ID's. Make sure to make them public and not hidden if they want others to see them.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN




Well look no further. This Plugin allows authorized players to add Custom Skins to the game that can be customized and glow in the dark.
How does this work? Well, first, a authorized player can choose from 17 default Neon signs. They can type /neon to see all included Neon Signs in a reference image that will pop up.

Player will then place any Normal sign on a wall or wherever, look at the sign and type command to place either a default sign, or a custom sign in wide (landscape) or tall (portrait) format.

Neon Signs can be picked back up by player if holding a Hammer just like a normal Rug in game.

Note: All signs are actually reskinned Rugs. Due to the simplicity of the rectangle rug it works wonderful.
Users can choose to use one of the 17 default signs or make there own.

The Skin ID's for first 5 default signs can be changed by server admin to anything they would like on place of them. Will decide if we need ALL default signs to be changeable.
Players can deploy there OWN custom Neon signs apart from using the default 17 signs.

Permissions:
neonskins.add - allows users to replace there own wooden sign with one of the Default Neon signs. To a maximum of 2 by default.
neonskins.skin - allows user to replace there own wooden sign with a custom skinned sign. To a maximum of 2 by default.
neonskins.wings - allows user to spawn wings on there back if they are flying (noclipping).
neonskins.viplimit - allows user to build up to the maximum VIP sign limit. Default is 10
neonskins.nolimit - allows use to build unlimited neon signs.
neonskins.attire - allows use of attire skins

Commands:
/neon - Will open default Sign GUI. typing again will close it.
NEW !! /neon.toggle - When looking at sign, will toggle Animation on or off (if they have more than 1 skin)
/neon.add # - replaces a wooden sign with one of the 17 default animated signs. use 1 - 17 for sign #.
(if only one skin id is set, it will be a static sign, it will not rotate skins)
/neon.skinwide "skin id 1" "skin id 2" "skin id 3" - use this to replace a wooden sign with a landscape oriented skin. you can add just 1 skin or 3 skins.
/neon.skintall "skin id 1" "skin id 2" "skin id 3" - use this to replace a wooden sign with a portrait oriented sign. you can add just 1 skin or 3 skins.
/neon.skinrug "skin id 1" "skin id 2" "skin id 3" - use this to skin a run already on the ground with a animated one. You need 3 skins currently to make animated.
/neon.count - shows your current number of deployed Neon signs
/neon.tickrate # - change your signs refresh tick rate to slow down or speed up how fast the skins change. Default is set to 10.
/neon.cleardatabase - allows Admins (auth level 2) to clear the neon skins database. useful for after a wipe.

FAQ :
1. Question: Why the hell you using a Rug for skinning?
Answer: I find the rectangle shape of the rug, paired with the rugs reverse side makes a great flipped image when viewed from behind.

2. Question : Why do you need to place a wooden sign first?
Answer : To help with visual placement of sign, It made sense to have something to give a good idea where the sign will be. With its low cost seemed to be a good fit.

The signs look great but the recent updates have broken it for players. Rust unloads all textures when they refresh or move too far. the only way currently to see the animated signs is for players to turn off the unload with graphics.itemskinunload "false"
Its a very nice mod, however every client need to enter a command for it not to look like a glitching rug, previous comments stated that a fix could be done with RustAdmin, however RA will only do server side commands, not client. therefore unless you can convince every player to enter the command in the client everytime they log in, its pretty worthless.
Many people are saying its a glitching carpet. What I did to fix this is in my Rust Admin, I added a triggered command for all users. This runs graphics.itemskinunload "false" when a player joins so they dont have to run the command. Thus fixing the sign issue. Yes the command needs to be run by every user to fix the issue. But this is a loop hole around it. Users dont need to enter the command when the server executes it for them when they join.

Signs don't work unless every player runs a command, otherwise they see a glitching carpet. This plugin should not be sold until this is fixed.

this is correct for animated signs yes, due to rust unloading the skin every time something is re created. No work around yet. i am still looking for a workaround

Rust just released a small client update that fixes skin downloads.. seems to work fine now.
Ridiculously amazing.
I wouldn't expect anything other than awesomeness from Collin. This plugin delivers.

Its due to changes in Rust, I am working on a fix that works and not just sometimes works. it is taking a little longer than I excepted due to RL.
